In order to understand the meaning of the word you must know to "forgive" is to send away, give up, keep no longer, let go release from obligations.
1) Unforgiveness can lead to bitterness.
Unforgivness we dont really know its full ramifications but it can eat you up inside and rob you of your peace and body.
2) Find someone that you trust to share your feelings with.
I want you to take a moment and stop what you are doing and think about your benefits of asking for forgiveness. Find someone that you trust to share with all those feelings of hurt, anger, frustration and disappointsments that you have been carrying all this time, ask them to pray with you.
3) Dealing with the emotions.
Healing must take place because there will be a need to learn how to handle these emotions when someone else hurts you.
4) Seek reconciliation.
It is not that we need to learn forgiveness; we are equipped with the capacity to forgive. Go to the person and seek reconcilation.
5) Choose to forgive
When we forgive a person, that emotion generates love in its highest form. Forgiveness frees us to love again.
